Airbus Defence and Space today announced that Kazakhstan is to acquire two more C295 transport aircraft.

The contract signed between Kazakhstan and Airbus covers the final two aircraft included in a memorandum of understanding signed in 2012. The latest deal also includes a spares and support package.

Both aircraft will be delivered in the second half of this year and will take the Kazakhstan Air Defence Forces’ C295 fleet to eight. The deliveries will also bring total C295 worldwide sales to 186, including 12 to former Soviet states.
