A US Navy T-6B is representing trainers of the 1940s and 1950s.

December 16: The US Navy has taken delivery of a brand new Hawker Beechcraft T-6B Texan II trainer painted in a bold orange-yellow paint scheme, representing trainer aircraft of the 1940s and 1950s for the Centennial of Aviation celebrations next year.

The aircraft will be based at Naval Air Station Whiting Field in Milton, Florida with Training Squadron 3 (VT-3), the ‘Red Knights’. In total the US Navy will receive 260 T-6Bs by 2017, with 22 delivered to date.
